Strange chest pains
Jul 30, 2017
Hello All,

I have been suffering from these strange chest pains and I'm wanting to know if anyone else has sufffered from this or has any answers. I'm a 27 year old male who has been activate all my life, I'm not obese and don't have any medical history.

It all started about three months ago when I was driving, I got this sharp pain in the left side of my chest. It felt like the left side of my body had gone numb and I got dizzy and nauseated. I went to the nearest ER and they ran an EKG, chest X-ray and blood tests but all came back as normal.

Two days later I got the most excruciating pain in the side of my left ribs and I went back to the ER. Again, they ran EKG, Chest X-ray, and more blood which all came back as normal. This pain persisted and started to radiate down my left arm, neck, and jaw. I went to see a cardiologist who determined this was not cardiac related after a CT scan of my chest/lungs, EKG stress test, and a echocardiogram.

This still persisted and after numerous visits to the doctors and emergency rooms they still haven't been able to give me a clear answer. In total, I've had 7 EKG's, chest CT Scan, echocardiogram, EKG stress test, CT scan of my brain and neck, 3 chest X-rays, and blood work.

This brought me to the an appointment with the Gastroenterologist where we did a endoscopy which relieved I have GERD. But the specialist said some of my symptoms are normal for GERD and others are not. We will be doing a test to see if I have esophageal spasms in the near future.

My PCP said all the symptoms are GERD and anxiety which I'm taking medication for both but still have this dull aching/sharp pain every day which radiates down my arm, neck, and jaw.

I am going to see a chiropractor because every time I try to put my chin to my chest I get a very strange pain that runs down my spine. I'm not sure if this pain can be related. It almost feels like I have a lump in my throat and that movement seems to aggravate the pain but not always. The smallest of movements seems to trigger the pain like getting off the sofa or small walks. When I exercise I don't have any chest pain but I do have pain down my spine but my chest hurts when I take deep breathes.

Some of the chest pains feel like cramping around my left breast area. It only seems to last a minute or so and then the aching pain is back. When this happens I feel like I have a lump in my throat, chest gets tight, and constantly trying to clear my throat.

Sorry for the long post. I would gratefully appreciate it if anyone has experiences anything similar and if you've been given any answers.

Thanks.
