Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board
Now I find out that the pyloric valve needs to loosen up. Tighten the LES and UES, loosen the pyloric -- sounds like a job for a mechanic. I came across the pyloric, which I had totally forgotten about, in a discussion about food stagnating in the stomach, and how that can cause nausea (yeah) and bloating (that, too). One doctor claims the pyloric tends to clamp shut in people who are tense and/or worriers (that would be me). And perhaps most of us who have LPR/GERD. Anyway, that theory ties in perfectly with the acupuncture therapy.
Meanwhile, I need to get back at the LES exercises. I tend to remember them only after I've eaten, which I think is too late. How are you doing, Jude?
What to do about the pyloric valve? Oh, just stop worrying, that's all.
