Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

Acid Reflux / GERD Board Index

Ok last year I went to the Dr about left sided pain I was having. She sent me for an upper GI. The Dr right on the spot said I had a small hiatal hernia and mild reflux. The pain I get is mostly in my back around my ribs, and in the front of my ribs under my left breast. I also get pain in my shoulder blade, especially when I eat cold food. Well now I have this new weird thing going on. When I eat, I get this referred pain under my left arm, like the fleshy under part of your upper arm. I thought it was just a coincidence but today at lunch I stopped eating, waited for the pain to go away, and then started again and the pain came back. I don't know what's going on. It's like nerve pain? Is the hernia that big that it's pushing against something? Is it the acid? I don't get typical heartburn where it burns in my throat kind of thing. It's all centered around my ribs.
Help! Should I be concerned???
