Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

Acid Reflux / GERD Board Index

Hi there.
I have not been diagnosed with anything acid wise yet. But, I do burp constantly all day. With those burps, sometimes I have food come back up.
I have a long, long history of PVCs and PACs (arrythmias) and have had my heart worked up and looked at a million times. All is good there, heart is healthy. Get it checked yearly. I am wondering though, if there is a connection. I have read, that PVCs and PACs can really just be considered an electrical connection issue, which may be due to the vagus nerve signally incorrectly. Often I get them after eating and drinking.
I thinking of talking to my doctor about getting an xray as I recently have had back pain like mid back (behind the sternum). Feels good when I stretch, so may be a posture issue, but sometimes just has an achey feeling, which I have also read could be due to an acid reflux issue.

working theory here. Anyone have back pain like that from acid reflux?
Hi Molly. How have you been? i hope you feel better now. I have the same problem with my back and GERD. On top of that I am suffering from shoulder pain that goes up to my neck and base of the skull and temples. Its frustrating that my gastro couldn't confirm if my stomach problems could be the cause of my back pain even if I've told her a thousand times that they happen almost simultaneously. My stomach gets very irritated (i don't know what to do cause it feels very uncomfortable) gassy and bloated one hour after food, i have to force myself to burp to relieve the pain. Went to emergency several times due to difficulty in breathing, palpitations, bloating head and back pain, my diagnosis would always be GERD and musculoskeletal muscle pain since all my tests are negative (blood, urine, X-rays). I will be seeing a neuro and orthopaedic surgeon to rule out the worst possible cause of my constant headache and back pain. PS. I guess my bad paps happen when Im in panic (90% of the time in my case).
