... Unfortunately it sounds like you do have LPR. LPR and GERD are similiar and brought about by some of the same issues, but are seperate diseases in themselves. LPR affects your vocal cord, I was told by my ENT that larynx are very sensitive, and LPR causes them to be inflamed, so I guess the more you talk your are using your larynx more, so talking less, will give the larynx a rest.
