... What is Braggs vinegar, where do you get it, and how does that help reflux? I've read that on here several times and I'd like to try it if it really works. This is so frustrating. I was taking Prilosec OTC 2x/day, one in the morning and one in early evening. I read alot of posts saying that in people with LPR (which is what I think I have) it helps more if you take the 2... ... LPR for 4 years. A+ successful treatement for 3 1/2 years now. I take 2 doses of Nexium, together, each morning. Each dose is 40 mg, so I take a total of 80 mg of Nexium each morning. (The doses are ineffective for me if I separate them into morning and evening - they must be together). The Nexium alone controls about 95% of my symptoms, provided that I am following a... ... It really is a minefield! So frustrating. And I agree about the endoscopy. Unfortunately they won't do one unless I've been on PPIs for 4-6 weeks, so I feel kind of stuck. I was likewise timid about trying apple cider vinegar. I did try taking an oz in water a few times, but did not feel any immediate results and gave up, so I didn't really give it a fair chance. Thinking... (10 replies)

DP56...I bought a bottle of Braggs a few years ago but chickened out as vinegar is so acidic I think it's time to give it a go :) I also think my LES and Pylori Sphincters are malfunctioning teefox...your Doctor telling you take it first thing before eating sounds about right. ... Rainbowsrock, Your situation is very familiar to me. I'm glad to say I conquered it, but not without going through several years worth of trial and error. ... Newbie here: I second the suggestion to go a vocal rest. Make tea with real ginger and honey. It's both a good anti-inflammatory for the throat (despite the tingling "heat" you may get from the ginger), and ginger is a great digestive aid. I highly suggest you consider and maybe be tested for hypochlorhydria (not enough stomach acid). Doctors tend to prescribe antacid... (24 replies)
