... The severe side effects do not happen as much as you think. I know atleast 20 people who have went on accutane, including myself, and nothing severe happened to them. The biggest concern was dry skin and dry, chapped lips. And, I would much rather have dry skin and dry lips that I can moisturize then a face full of acne! I loved accutane. B-5 hairloss

B5 doesn't force your body to extreme dryness (as Accutane does) so it's extremely unlikely that any hairloss would occur. i've never heard of it. also, B5 is pantothenic acid, a form of which has been put into shampoos for years because it is good for hair (has been claimed to keep hair from going gray, but this hasn't been proven).
