... I have never done accutane, but I do get very dry skin in the winter. I have a goatee/mustache at all times, and I get lots of dry flaky skin where I DON'T shave. There is no exfoliation benefit like the other parts of my face that I shave. Now that I use Aveeno moisturizer on my face, it has been so much easier to shave, and I get less dry skin in my unshaved area. ... (3 replies)

... Just buy a beard trimmer. I'd say $50 would buy you a really good one. I tried to not shave when on roaccutane the second time; my skin was just too sensitive. (3 replies)

... Shaving might actually make your skin redder due to the high sensitivity of your skin on the drug. I guess it's alright as long as you moisturize afterwards. (3 replies)

... Hey guys! I am pleased to say that I am doing great so far with accutane. Apart from the bad razor burn when I wasn't careful shaving, I haven't had any side effects yet except maybe my lips are slightly dryer. I know it is very possible things will get worse, but right now I am quite pleased. I've been on it for almost 3 weeks now. (216 replies)
