... Actually, no, it doesn't necessarily mean that. Almost everyone (not everyone, but pretty darn close) feels better and concentrates better when first given a stimulant. It used to be thought that if a stimulant calmed you down and helped with concentration, it meant you had ADD. Now we know it just isn't that clear-cut. (1 replies)

... samorris, A shot in the dark ... does "Provigil" ring a bell? Other less likely possibilities are Wellbutrin and Effexor - both are stimulating antidepressants. Usually stimulants are prescribed for "chemo-fog." Chemo-fog is drug induced attention deficit problems. So let's try "Concerta." Concerta is long acting Ritalin. ... It can help with depression since it's a mild stimulant. What type of doctor are you seeing? I would think that an anti-depressant (e.g. Lexapro, Cymbalta. etc.) and a traditional stimulant like Ritalin or Adderall would work much better, but I'm not a doctor and don't really know history.
