... I have one doc who says as long as the potassium and sodium are fine - don't mess with the florinef. Another is upset that my renin is around 19 (which is 9pts above the range). I just salt up. ... His sodium seems low enough to me that could have low aldosterone. I've seen many sodiums with aldosterone and am very familiar with their correlation to one another. Most with low aldosterone will have in range sodium. I weight those tests with symptoms. No symptoms, then I think is not a good idea to treat with florinef, but salt wouldn't hurt if that is tried. I would suggest you request the following blood tests, if they haven't already been done, and I would suggest you ask for a copy of the results of your ACTH stim test, and take it to another endo to have it analyzed.
