I live in a very humid climate where the mold and pollen counts can be outrageous. I was getting a sinus infection every month and it felt like I had the flu, not to mention the bad headaches. I took allergy shots for over 2 years and it definitely helps. Like the last poster said, it takes a lot of commitment because you have to start out coming on a frequent basis in the beginning and continue regularly according to the schedule your doctor creates. There are also follow-up shots so it can run on for years. Also check with your insurance company to find out how much they cover. I know my costs began to increase due to my insurance company so I stopped once I began to feel better. I still get seasonal allergies but I can go to my general practitioner for an antibiotic or prescribed allergy meds.
