... Hey guys. For the past couple weeks i've been terrified of ALS. To the point where it's detrimental to my daily activities. I'll start with my symptoms. Firstly, i've had fasciculations for about 4 years now. I never gave them much thought since nothing else accompanied them, but for the past two days i've been getting some on and off pain in my left hand, and maybe i'm being... (3 replies)
... Okay. I am a 19 year old female. A couple of months ago my leg just started kind of jerking for no reason. It was only when I sat down or laid down. It didn't hurt or anything, and it was just barley visible to the eye. it was just really really annoying. I am a SEVERE hypochondriac, so I tried to ignore it, but the jerking won't go away. ... Did you get the muscle twitching first? Usually muscle twitching is not a sign of ALS. Plus your age is on your side. I feel some weakness in my left arm and leg, but don't know if it's all in my mind after reading... (1 replies)
... Cramer - you need to relax. You mentioned your age and life is just beginning for you. I have PLS - and has disabled me within the last 4 years. I'm always positive and I feel wonderful. It's all about how you handle things. I suggest that you find a different doctor and get a second option. If a new doctor tells you that you don't have ALS - then get on with life and... (5 replies)
... This is not a medical statement and I am not calling you a hypochondriac because that definition fits people who enjoy poor health not those who are afraid of it, but Sometimes when we are worried about a situation that we feel we can not face, we will develop physical symptoms that will actually occur in places that describe what is going on. For instance, if a man feels he... (5 replies)

I had an EMG and it came out clean as well as the test. I am 34. For what it is worth here is what... (5 replies)
