... Thanks rico. My hematologist didn't think it was IDA but it could be folic acid deficiency which is why I am taking folate supplements. She did mention I may need to start iron after next set of labs are taken. I will have those labs taken before my colonoscopy. She doesn't know yet that I have the test scheduled. ... Just finished 3rd round of 5 day iron infusions. Ferritin was 3.4 at the beginning got up to 37 then down to 34 then 19 and now the RBC is below normal again. Have had Capsule endoscopy, Endoscopy and Colonoscopy.Nothing has being found. ... (0 replies)
