... I had the same thing happen and still do off and on. Fluid retention can be a side effect of anemia and can be the cause of the swollen ankles as well as the fatigue. I never found a way to get rid of it myself I just deal with it when it happens. Force myself to get up and just keep going. ... (1 replies)
