... I take .25 mg of Xanax each night for sleep. I can stop with no problem. As for the symptoms if you stop abruptly--you will mainly feel panicky and shaky. At least I did. I was taking it regularly for a few months--morning, lunch, and evening. If I missed a dose, I got kind of jittery/shaky. (19 replies)
