Recently withing the last 6 months or so, I'm having heavy and painful periods. My doctor has me on iron medicine and iron polysaccharides for about three years now.. ... Are you on PPI's? Or Acid reducers for the GERD? Unfortunately, the solutions for reflux will cause many vitamin deficiencies. I wouldn't be surprised if you are low in many vitamins, not just iron. We need all that acid in our stomachs to digest food, and absorb nutrients.
