... There are no known negative side effects directly related to B-12. However, there is a draw back of if you suddenly begin taking B-12 you may be able to sense pain more strongly and discover pain sensations that were not being felt prior. IT has to do with the b-12 increasing the function of the nerve sensors. IT is kind of a catch 22. (2 replies)

I purchased something called sub-lingual B12 (containing 2000 times the recommended daily requirement) which is suppposed to be administered under the tongue (liguid form), and absorbed (by way of the sublingual glands) straight into the bloodstream, therefore by-passing the stomach.
