... ecover. You can't just get to some magic number, because it's different for everyone. You have to manage to the symptoms. I get frustrated with drs, too, because B12 is such a simple treatment! It's not like you're begging for antibiotics constantly to cure something. It can't hurt you, it can only help you. ... (3 replies)

... Thank you so much, Jill. I will be waiting for the next post on the numbers. I am taking sublingual B12 myself as my number was 324 (211-911) and as much as I try to insist that this must be contributing to my symptoms, my doctor this week again has said that the number looks good! I am still researching but have not found anything yet! Hoppy:confused: (3 replies)

... y life I've been on and off iron tablets. I'm so good at spotting when it drops that my docs just do the bloods when I ask and hand out the tablets. This time my B12 came back low too. I'm not sure if it has ever been tested before though! My iron wasn't crazy low like it has been, it was 12 but my B12 was 157. ... (8 replies)

... I disagree with your doctor. People's iron levels have dropped quickly after surgery and were anemic in just a few months. That's why it's so important to supplement and check labs regularly. Also 30 is NOT normal for vitamin D for us. Optimal levels are 80. You can try the prescription, but it's D2 and oil based. We malabsorb oil, therefore we malabsorb D2. And even D3 in... (4 replies)

... I ran into the same kind of problem in that I suffer from Fibromyalgia, which has similar symptoms (apart from the not being able to breathe well thing) so I didn't think there was anything additionally wrong with me. Being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia sucks, but teh worst part is that if you have anything else that they can't figure out they think it's... (15 replies)
... - Hi DaleP, Thanks again. The Polysaccharide Iron Complex (Nifrex) that you mention, is this something I can buy OTC or does it need prescribing? I appreciate too what you say about not listening to you or anyone else on this board and listening to what my doctor says, but unfortunately this is my third doctor and tbh they don't take much notice with low ferritin levels and...
