... The problem is, Xanax alone probably won't solve all your problems. You might need to consider counseling/or any other form of therapy (CBT, etc.). Xanax is a great drug for anxiety - but, you can't rely on this solely to help solve the problem, because you will continue to need to increase your dose if it's not addressing the anxiety at the dose you're on (if that's all... ... I must say thank you and that i havent given up on the lexapro, it is wonderful! Its just every once in a great while that Ill take a half of zanax- I just wanted to make sure I wasnt doing harm to myself. The Lexapro has done wonders for me! ... Steve, I shouldn't comment on your question because I do the same thing..... OC is right though,it isn't a good thing to have sleep be your safe place, or so I have been told!! Just a sugestion, you may want to consider asking your doc to change you from the zanax to klonipin, it is longer lasting- so you do not feel the need to take it as often, also if you want to stop...
