I have been having hip/back/buttock pain for years that I thought was OA. I am 60 and 10+ yrs ago, an xray showed degenerative disk disease. The dr told me arthritis can mean your muscles have to work harder so you will have muscle strain/soreness. Still, I feel it every day, though not all day every day.

When I recently researched the symptom of the pain being worst or most frequent when turning over in bed, it brought up ankylosing spondylitis and sacroiliitis. Makes me think I should get myself to a rheumatologist?
