... There is no anti-inflammatory that works as well as Prednisone. Because of it's awful side effects (especially long term - diabetes, osteoporosis, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc) most docs wean their patients off prednisone as soon as they can - as soon you find a DMARD that works for you.
