... Hi Andy, Tell you about something I was told when taking ayurvedic treatment. I was told not to take any 'acidic' foods. This means tomatoes, lime, ....things that are sour in taste which has the 'acid' component...vinegar, pineapple, included. Sometimes even oranges can be sour and green apples / grapes. He was very reluctant to give up potatoes, but we tried all nightshade free for about 2 weeks then reintroduced the potatoes and so far so good. he avoids tomatoes, green peppers and wouldn't think of eating egg plant! I also read about certain foods being "bad" for arthritis sufferers - including tomatoes...Yeah, I'm struggling to get off of it...it's my only vice (along with biltong!) ... n be different amount of time for everyone, you can then feel very normal with maybe just soreness from the pain you previously experienced. RA and most kinds of arthritis are major roller coasters of symptoms. ... (8 replies)
