... JennyBYC is right. I have psoriatic arthritis of the spine and all my blood work was negative including ESR & CRP (tests for inflammation). However, a bone scan showed that I had sacroilitis (inflammation of both sides of sacrum.) That's what made the diagnosis. (And the pain was unbearable! I'm now on Arava with great results.)
