He has tried, in conjunction with MTX, Enbrel and Humira, which did not help so brings us to try Orencia. He has been on a shot a week for roughly 5 weeks now with no change. When I was 12 (I am 56 now) I was diagnosed with JRA, had medications for many years and now they discover biologics.
Yes, it sounds scary, I get this. But like Jenny said, people die from untreated RA as well.
