One Swollen Knee

... This is a steroid challenge and is a sign that something inflammatory is going on. You need to get to a rheumatologist ASAP. How positive was your ANA? A GP can run some general tests, but only a rheumatologist can diagnose lupus or RA or some other connective tissue disease definitively.
