Has anyone with RA had early symptoms of joint pain in the wrists, hands and middle knuckles, hips, knees, ankles, toes, and the bottom of your feet without inflammation(red, hot and swollen)? Has the cold weather ever set off a flare for you and maybe even catching a cold around the same time?

... Does anyone else get muscle spasms? I'm not sure if it's a result of the RA, the meds, or something completely unrelated. I get them often during the day, mostly in my legs, but also at night as I'm trying to fall asleep. At night they can be pretty powerful, and seem to come just as I'm relaxing enough to drift off, waking me up again.

... Honey, I am on same meds too: I am on 20 mg of Meth by now and 1g or Folic Acid. She is planning to add a shot of some sort, but due to side effects of it, she wants me to have kind of very rare and new blood work and only when she sees results she can add this shot once a week (done in a office only).

... d to tell which arthritis is hitting which joints. I have osteoarthritis in my left hip, right knee and 3 vertebrae in my neck, so those almost always hurt. My RA seems to be hitting my ankles, wrists and fingers the most. I do have the same pain as you describe, but like you, no redness and little swelling. ... (22 replies)

... I was just diagnosed a week ago with RA. My doctor actually called it Zero Negative Factor RA. My SED rate before a steroid trial was 49 and two days after the trial it was 1. That was his clue that something is not quite right.

The cold is doing a number on my joints, as well - especially my hands, ankles, and feet. It isn't even close to winter and I'm already dreading it. My rheumatologist just upped my NSAID and said to take Tylenol in addition to it. I feel like a walking pharmacy.
