Because I have fibromyalgia too, the muscles connected to the ribs and breast bone get tight and sore, so much at times, you can almost panic because it feels like you just cannot catch your breath. ... ten linked to forms of arthritis... namely psoriatic arthritis. Treating it with painkillers is a very short term fix in that it is an inflammatory condition. Pain and inflammation tend to feed upon themselves... you tense up when you are in pain and the whole cycle keeps going. ... (3 replies)

... hi baking nut, Yes, I have PA and I have actually been taken to hospital in the past with terrible pains in my chest only to be told at A and E that it is my arthritis in my ribs and chest bones.. Hope that puts your mind at rest. Ronnie (3 replies)

... Anyone else have this? It's driving me crazy. Thought it might be heartbutn, but don't think so. All the NSAID's hurt my stomach, am having a hard time. Prilosec and Nexium, for my tummy, makes my heart jump around. I'm in a pickle. (3 replies)

... wow Jenny!! youve been through alot with surgeries!!! bless ya x l get wrist pain too either at the sides or bang smack in the middle or wrist, also get the knee pain have for years but worst for me has to be the sacroiliac area pain and sternum/ribs and mid spine ( bra fastens area), did you know you dont have to have the gene to has AS?
