... g with looking after my sons and feel very low about life in genral i cannot be a mum to them, play with them like i did and on top of my own health my baby has croup and iS not to well. sorry if this sounds like i am feeling very sorry for my self but i just want to have this asthma under controll and live my life again. ... ... Yes, there is such a thing as Cronic Croup. My oldest son has it, and has had it for many years. (He is 12.) He was born with birth defects that affect his skull and midface, and also has a narrow airway. When he has an episode, his throat will completely close w/o proper medication. ... Thank you for replying. I have been using her nebulizer every 6 hours. It is always hard to tell if she is having trouble breathing because she has a kinda "sunkin in" chest(just under your ribs) and it makes her appear to be retracting(is that correct?) when sometimes she isn't but when it is bad....it is really strange looking. She is ILL but the cough is a little calmer... (3 replies)
