... e before better. Tar build up in the lungs can cause an increase in coughing as the built up contaminates work their way up and out. Also, My father in law who quit after 20 years of smoking says you may notice a difference in the shower as the toxins work their way out of pores. ... (6 replies)

... I've always thought it was when I got a cold it'd usually go to my chest and I'd get bronchitis and this would bring on wheezing and general discomfort in breathing. I had Ventolin but never any preventative meds. It wasn't severe enough. I also never got actual asthma attacks. ... (1 replies)
Rebound asthma?

... Last week, my meds were changed and I was placed on Singular 10mg once daily, Prendisone 50mg once daily x5 days. I am still on my ventolin and my advair 500mcg twice daily.They also did a chest xray which came back normal. My peak flows are 350 which is not ideal. ... (2 replies)

... Titchou, I am seeing an Immunologist. Specializing in Asthma and Allergies. I also have Lupus so I thought and immunologist would be a good choice. Would a pulminologist be a better choice? What is the difference between the two? (6 replies)
... Well, asthma won't go away. You'll always have it. One week isn't nearly long eough for you to see any breathing improvement....but the asthma itself won;t go away. Perhaps you just need a med adjustment. Hope oyu're seeing a pulmonologist. (6 replies)
