I recently had an X-ray and MRI on my lower back before I deployed and recieved my results. I am wondering what I have to look forward to when I get back. I have already complete physical thearpy and it has not helped at all. Here is what I recieved back;

X-ray:
The first axial t2-weighted image defines the inferior endplate of L3. The conus medullaris tapers normally and terminates at the T12-L1 level. The bone narrow signal appears normal. On the sagittalimages there is straightening of the normal lumbar lordosis. Vertebral body heights are obtained. Intervertebral disc space narrowing noted at the T12-L1, L1-L2, and L5-S1. The remaining interverbral disc space heights are maintained. Dis desiccation at L5-S1.

MRI:
L3-L4: There is a small diffuse bulge which effaces the ventral thecal sac. Mild central bony cana stenosis. No significant lateral recess effacement. No significant neuroforaminalnarrowing. Mild bilateral ligamentum flavum thickening. No significant facet arthrosis.

L4-L5: There is moderate to large diffuse disc bulge which effaces the ventral thecal sac. Mild bilateral ligamentum flavum thickening contributes to mild to moderate central bony canal stenosis. There is moderate bilateral lateral recess effacement. Mild bilateral neuroforaminal narrowing. Mild bilateral facet arthrosis.

L5-S1: There is a large diffuse disc bulge eccentric to the far left with concomitant annular fissure which effaces the ventral thecal sac and adversely contacts the traversing left S1 nerve root and abuts the exiting left L5 nerve root. There is moderate central bony stenosis. Moderately severe left and moderate right lateral recess effacement. Mild left and no significant right neuroforaminal narrowing. Mild bilateral ligamentum flavum thickening. No significant facet arthrosis.

That was my results and any information would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
