... ll known by her patients to be very good at it, to sedate her patients, and numb the area. I barely remember a thing and didn't feel a thing. Facet injections

... Both my cervical epidurals included facet joint injections and the 2nd one included occipital (sp.?) nerve block. So far much better. Don't know if it was the 2nd go of it or the added nerve block, but managing now without opiates, just anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxant at night. ... neuro's I had seen, they used the anethesia dept of the hospital to do facet joint injections, discograms, etc. My spine specialist says that's too risky and he does his own. Done totally different. For instance. ... (7 replies)
... v sedation. My pain mgmnt doc gives me versed. Versed is wonderful. I suggest you do the sedation if your Dr is offering it. I can't say how uncomfortable it'd be without it or with just the oral valium. ... (5 replies)
Nerve blocks

... ck trouble. I had many epidurals which did nothing. Finally, I did have back surgery which did help me out alot for over a year. HOwever, problems again, with facet joints this time. I've had 2 sets of 6 joint injections. The first set, did nothing. The second set gave me alot of relief for about 10 days. ... (3 replies)
