... Here's the situation... 34yr female... I broke my back back falling backwards off an 8 foot ladder new years even last year (2006), resulting in a compression fracture T-12 and of course soft tissue damage. ... Welcome to the board. Your doctor was right. It can take from 9-12 months for the bones in your back to heall. If you fractured your tailbone, ther is nothing they can do about that-and that is painful. Standing all day doesn't hlep it either...
