I'm a new user and chose Mineral Basics over Bare Minerals. But, in my research and sample gathering, I determined that you use different brushes for more coverage, so you might try that. The one Bare Minerals sold for maximum coverage looked a lot like the foundation brushes sold at drugstores, I thought. Another maximum coverage tool was a powder puff. Not the foam kind but the old fashioned fabric kind, I don't know if they are velour or chenille or what. Like the kind that came in the Coty loose powder my grandmother used. That is what is on the built in applicator of the mineral makeup by Urban Decay and Philosophy, and at least one online vendor of mineral makeup website sold them as maximum coverage applicators. I bought one to use with the samples I picked up at Sally Beauty supply for a dollar or so.

Another is to make sure there isn't a location that sells bare minerals in your town so you can go get your concealor before your events. Both Ulta and Sephora carry it.

I hope these suggestions help with your emergency.

I found that the foundation covers my pigment problems fine. But it doesn't cover fine lines and pores as well. I guess liquid fills those in a bit. Totally by accident, though, I managed to conceal my dark under eye circles quite well. The best I've ever accomplished.
