Why do some birthmarks and moles have hair growing out them while some dont? What causes it?Will applying honey fade the birthmarks and moles? If it does, will applying honey cause hair to grow on the birthmarks and moles?
Hi there! Some moles may just have hair on them, some don't. There isn't anything YOU are doing to cause this. If it bothers you, it's pretty easy to just pluck away the hair on a regular basis. It's nothing bad to worry about though! There are some natural remedies out there that some people claim work, but most likely, honey won't do very much. You would have to get a mole removed at the dermatologist or use a skin lightening product. I would talk to a dermatologist about this first though. And no, honey should not make any hair grow.
i read that a low % of hydrogen peroxide will whiten teeth...wonder if the same goes for moles/beauty marks....?
You have hair follicles everywhere except the soles of your feet and the palms of your hands. Hairs are nourished by your blood supply. Moles have a large blood supply and thus stimulate the hair follicles under the moles.

The only safe method of mole removal is by a physician. Changes in a mole are one of the signs of cancer. If you remove the mole at home without it being biopsied, you are removing a possible future indicator of cancer.

Plucking a hair from a mole is also not recommended. The only safe way to remove a hair from a mole is to cut the hair or to have it removed permanently by electrolysis. Some states require that a physician examine the mole and write a letter to the electrologist giving permission for electrolysis treatments.
