... I just had my first brazilian wax and it wasn't too bad, and I can tell already it's going to be worth it to switch to waxing from now on! ... (11 replies)
... I just had my first experience with a brazilian waxing and I surely recommend it to everyone (ofc i didnt get to the bad part of ingrow hair and stuff hehe). It was funny because it was the actual lady that recommended it to me and since i've been doing my waxing with her for so long and I trust her so much, I decided to give it a go. I'm soooooo happy i did!!! I felt a... (11 replies)

... Daisy, no you don't have to bend over you just lay on a table. and no you do not wear any underwear. And there is a difference between brazilian and bikini line wax, the brazilian will include the entire vagina and a little bit of the back side. But occording to spa I go to the back side is opitional. ... (11 replies)
... From my understanding, the Brazilian includes EVERYTHING. As in, they wax hair from places you didn't even know had hair. ... (11 replies)
... Also, does it wax your entire vagina or only your bikini line? ... (11 replies)

... I'd go to a salon for this. If not to have them do it, maybe just to give you some tips and pointers on angles you could use when doing it, etc! ... (2 replies)
... I actually had my sister wax my belly for me as a test, and OUCH....but she made a good point that it is more fatty there and would probably hurt more there!! ... (24 replies)
... As for the different kinds of brazilians, the salon I went to said the original brazilian is when they leave the strip of hair down the center. The "more extreme" version is everything everywhere, and they called it a Full Monty. ... (24 replies)
... i was watching some day time talk show, i believe it was on the soap channel, and the host was talking about how she got a wax done that was "more extreme" than a brazilian but she forgot the name of it. ... (24 replies)
... I wanna get it done!! I just have no idea what sort of place will do it. There are a ton of little nail salons around me that do wax, but they barely speak English so I'm afraid to go in and ask and end up not getting what I wanted done. I figured getting it done at a spa in NYC would cost a ton. How did you guys find a place? I doubt the yellow pages has a listing for it..... (24 replies)
... Good luck with your brazilian! I've had it done once (I started a thread earlier this month about it... maybe you read it?), but anyway it's well worth the pain! It feels so sexy and clean, I have a cleanliness obsession with "down there", haha. I'm about to get mine done again in the next week or so! I had my bikini done a year or so beforehand at a different salon that... (24 replies)
... I saw a thread about Brazilian waxing and was intrigued so I read on. I have now decided to go ahead with it! Yikes!! ... (24 replies)
... Yeah I'd maybe give it a 7, if 10 is the most pain you could imagine getting waxed. I honestly thought that getting my legs waxed a couple years ago was MUCH more painful, but maybe I'm weird. This was totally tolerable for me, and I don't consider my pain tolerance all that high. It was enough to make me sweat, but the results are worth it! Update on my situation: It's day... (11 replies)
... Very first time maybe a 8 depending on how well your pain intake is. For me it was probably a 6-7 now it is no big deal at all. Just like Saka mentioned as the hair becomes softer it is much easier. And the results really are worth it. (11 replies)
... So the pain isn't as bad as I've heard it is? On a scale of 1-10? (11 replies)
... You are certainly extra sensitive the first time you get it done as that hair has been there for some time. It does get better the more you go as the hair becomes softer and easier to remove. Mine is usually red and tender for the day I have it done but is pretty much ok the next day. I try to make sure I go home and give it a good scrub with a loofa or some exfoliator... (11 replies)
... Thanks for the advice!! It's been a couple days now and I'm still a little irritated...not so much bumps anymore but the top is still redder than usual and a tad itchy...I hope it goes away soon! Could it be because it's my first time so I'm extra sensitive? Or is this normal? (11 replies)
... I find that exfoliating the area now and again helps with ingrown hairs and I also like to moisturise after a shower to keep it soft. I usually have mine waxed every 4 weeks. I find that is enough time for the hair to grow back a little but not too long that it is getting annoying. And if I leave it much longer it is bound to hurt more (I've been having it done for 18... ... Thanks Lori!! Your right of course....I seem to be fixated on the pain but you know I really want to do this...so I will definetly take your advice and focus on SMOOTH SMOOTH :D I will also try the moisturizing and exfoliating before hand...umm this may sound like a dumb question but how do you do that down there??? Is it the same as everywhere else and I have a... (24 replies)
