... First of all I would go with just super subtle highlights. You don't want to go streaky/chunky at all---that makes the job look super fake. One of the secrets to highlighting hair is to ask the hair dresser to finely weave the highlights into the hair instead of making them thick and chunky---also ask for partials instead of full.
