... I have been using Cory minerals and I'm very happy with it. You can get very generous samples from Cory for next to nothing and they last and last. I use a lot less of Cory than any of the other minerals I've tried. ... (8 replies)
Bare Minerals?

... I used BE for years but now prefer mineral basics, which can be purchased much cheaper on ebay. It's also, I think, a much better product. You can also get samples first to see if you like it before buying in larger quantity. I love their finishing silk. Do a search on ******. There a lot of other companies as well - Monave, Armoleigh, Cory, pur minerals, etc. who sell... (9 replies)
... You may also want to consider some of the smaller mineral companies. Like vboredatwork stated, it's really trial & error - and what type of coverage & finish you want. Bare Minerals, Mineral Secrets, Jane Iredale, & Youngblood all contain shiny mica and/or bismuth oxychloride. That will make the finish look "shiny". The bismuth also causes problems with itching in some... (8 replies)

... Both those brands contain bismuth oxychloride, which can cause itching in some people. It also makes the makeup slightly "shiny" in appearance. Some people like that look, others don't. There are several smaller mineral makeup companies that offer samples for just a dollar or two. You might want to give them a try. Aromaleigh, Botany 101, GeoGrafx, Alpha Skin Care, Evan's... Bare Minerals ??

... Hi I have used Bare Escentuals for the past 5 years and I really liked it alot. It covered up my scars quite well. But recently I switched to Cory Cosmetics mineral makeup. IMHO I think it is better than BE. ... (15 replies)
... LOTS of people have that problem with AL's eyeshadows as they are not very heavily pigmented at all~ There are so many better choices for mineral makeup including CORY, Monave, and Geografx-all 3 are far superior to AL and have great customer service, where as IN MY OPINION AL does not. Remember, paying an arm and a leg to get your order fast does not equal good customer... (12 replies)

... really liking it. I found out that it contains a lot of mica, which seems to settle into my skin in a most unflattering way. Also, I have broken veins and bare minerals does not really cover them. I think it's a good line, just not quite what my skin needs. ... (4 replies)
... or flaking. I get all three when I use Cory or Alpha Skin Care, so I avoid those. ... (18 replies)
... Bella Victory - I would suggest you try Aromaleigh & Geografx - you can get samples of both for a very reasonable price - and Aromaleigh is based in SC, so it shouldn't take long to get your samples. If those don't offer enough coverage, you may want to try Alpha Skin Care or Cory - although I have problems with the amount of titanium dioxide in those brands (causes flaking &... (8 replies)
... What brand is it. I looked at the Cory Line yesterday. I use BE and really like it but Cory sure looks cheaper! I don't get a shine real bad. I use the Mineral veil. ... (22 replies)

... although I had a difficult time finding a match with Youngblood. I really don't like Cory or Bare Minerals at all. ... (17 replies)
... This is strictly an individual decision. There ARE many from which to choose - and what works for me may not work for you. I've tried many different brands & I can give you the results that I got - but you may not get the same results. My skin tends to be oily & acne-prone. My dd also uses MMU & cannot use Cory because it makes her break out & aggravates her eczema. ... (11 replies)
