... She shouldn't be increasing in the thoughts of cutting and hurting herself. Sounds to me like she needs an increase in the Abilify or a change altogether. If she is bipolar, the increase in the Celexa will aggravate her symptoms. Good luck. ... (13 replies)

... HI~ I agree, I think the medicine depends on a lot of different things on whether or not it will work for you. My husband is BD 1, and is on Abilify. At first, it seemed like it helped a LOT, not they have upped his dosage and I am not sure it is helping at all!! He has been on soooo many though, Lithium, Seroquel, Depakote, Celexa, etc. Lithium helped him the best, but... (8 replies)

... I know someone else who's on klonipin, and it seems to be helping her. I tried serequel before, as well as a number of other anti-depressants, none of which worked. The only treatment that did help was ECT. As for the trazadone, she prescribed that to help me sleep. If this pdoc can't help me, I may have to be referred to the hospital to have ECT, and perhaps then... (9 replies)

... Hi banana. I just got out of a week stay in a hospital too. I have heard of topamax being used as a mood stabilizer, so that is true. I have never been on it before. I have been on seroquel for a while though. Now I am on abilify, lamictal, lithium, and klonopin. Are you feeling any better since you have been out of the hospital? ... I take lithium carbonate. 300mg, 3x a day. I also take Tegretol, Celexa, Abilify, and Seroquel. It's been about 3 months since I've had my lithium and Tegretol levels checked. I'll see about getting them checked tomorrow. I'm sitting at the computer now(obviously), and I am not seeing the cat anymore. I don't know what it was. I've had auditory hallucinations before,... ... I have been on Lithium, Celexa, Abilify, Seroquel, and Tegretol for several years now. I have not been manic or depressed in about a year and a half. I have a pdoc appt next week and I was wanting to ask him to reduce some of my meds so I don't have to take soooo much.
