hello all--
well, I've been taking tri-sprintec bc for almost 2 years now. I've always had a weight problem, and have lost/gained various amounts of weight over the years. Because of this, I really didn't notice if I gained weight right when I started the pill, but anyway...So over the past four months or so, I've really been trying to get my butt in gear to drop some pounds. Visiting the gym almost every day...first, I went on a traditional low-fat, whole-grains type diet, counting calories, etc...had very minimal results. Well, I'd gone on a low-carb diet before and lost almost 40 lbs, so I figured trying it again couldn't hurt...well I'm at the end of the 2 week induction period where it's expected that you will lose weight rapidly by eating less than 20 carbs per day...and I've fluctuated between staying the same and gaining 2 pounds! I'm so frustrated--the first time I did this diet I lost 12 lbs in the first 2 weeks.

I can't help but think that the birth control is affecting my ability to lose weight, but I don't know what to do. I know I could get off it, or switch to a different kind.. but obv there are no guarantees that that will cure it. I'm getting married in 4 months and everything is timed perfectly that I won't have my period for the wedding/honeymoon.....ahhhhhhh..

any ideas, supplements that have helped, certain diets that are impacted less by hormones?
