I have had no problems not having a period on the pill and I have not had any spotting either. I talked with the doctor and the "period" you get on the pill is not the same as a period for... ... Yeah I have really messed myself up. I was trying to clear up my face so I took my Yasmin constantly and never let my body have a period. Now I am having severe stomach cramps and my pill schedule is really messed up. I am getting off of them right now to have a period and hopefully I will start to feel better. (3 replies)

Well, like I said, I think the low dosage pills are easier on you and safer but keep in mind, if you change it will take awhile for your body to get used to the new dosage and more than likely you won't even go 6 weeks without bleeding. I really like the pill I'm on, its 35mg of oestrogen (which is relatively high dose I suppose, compared to ones like Loette and Alesse) but its extremely good for my skin, hasn't caused any bad side effects (apart from strange period patterns...
