... IMO I don't think you would have any difference in your period with the 21-day pack vs. the 28 day pack....for example when I took the 28 day pack of Microgestin then got switched to the 21 day pack there was no difference in my cycle at all(never got any periods) Plus with low dose pills its super common not to get a period. I start the generic of Alesse (Lutera) this... (2 replies)
... I'm currently on Zarah (generic of Yasmin) and plan to switch to a different pill when I see my dr in 2weeks. I'm debating on Alesse,Levlite or Micrette. ... I've been on birth control pills since I was 15 and now I'm 38....and I will tell you all pills will vary for everyone differently as far as side effects go. I was on Tri Nesaa for many years and everything was fine til in June-July of 2009 I literally put on 30lbs in those 2mo and of course got off it immediately and my dr summed it to hormonal change.. Talk to your dr... (1 replies)
... Im on Lutera the generic form of Alesse. The only reason why I got lutera is because my pharmacy didnt carry alesse. I've been on it for months I dropped 5 pounds, had some minor mood swings. ... (5 replies)
... No reason to be concerned. The active hormones have to be identical to Alesse. You probably won't notice any difference at all. Most pharmacies don't carry multiple different generics for a specific brand, so you get what they carry. Even requesting a specific generic doesn't mean that they'll be able to fill your request. ... Lutera is just a new generic BCP of Alesse. It's made by Watson and they make a lot of other BCPs, so it's not like it's from an unknown company or anything like that. When you switch from one generic to another generic of the same brand name, your experience should be about the same. A few women will have different reactions to the inert ingredients, but this is rare. ... (3 replies)
... Hey all - I have been on aviane (the alesse generic) for a few months now, and I had my dr send in a prescription for a home delivery prescription service of my insurance company. I guess I was supposed to specify that I wanted aviane (b/c they carry aviane), but I just said "the generic for alesse" so they mailed me 'lutera' i haven't really heard anything about... Generic Question

... I tried both generics for the ALESSE brand which are lutera and aviane. ... (1 replies)
... Hey I also had similar side effects with this pill along with every other pill thats considered regular dose. I think the lowest birth control they make now is ALESSE and its two generics, LUTERA and AVIANE. I'm on the Aviane one now. I haven't had a single problem and it's been 3 months. ... (4 replies)

Reccomend a pill?

... You mentioned that one other pill you took also made you feel like like you had the flu? Was it by any chance another ortho product (ortho tri cyclen lo, orthro tri cyclen, ortho cyclen or one of their many generics?) These two products have the same ingredients as the patch, just an active form of the progestin (since it isn't digested like a pill would be), so they might... (2 replies)
