... If you have a severe allergy, you cant take a sulfa. They do have a drug like Lasix that is not a sulfa, ethycrynic acid I believe.
Your bp is 190s? Have you tried Clonidine? It will bring your BP down effectively, but it has sedation side effect, which improves with time. You can also go up on your Cardizem dose, and your lisinopril dose. (5 replies)

The short version of this story is, secondary to a mild reaction to Rocephin (ceftriaxone, 3rd gen. cephalosporin abx), my normal, lifelong blood pressure has gone from a predictable 115-125/75-80 to a positionally influenced 90-120/60-75 in a few months, and have developed essentially zero tolerance for climbing. I am at an impasse as far as further testing ideas.
