A couple of months ago I was having all those problems and the answer from the doctor was "well, when they take veins out of your legs, you will have problems with swelling!" ... If you spiked up that high once in a while amongst a bunch of 110/70 readings, then I would not worry too much. If the trend continues each day where your systolics are above 135 mm Hg and your diastolics are near 90 or above, then I would go after it aggressively.
