When I am sitting at rest my blood pressure is fine , 128/78 p68, if I get up and walk around and check it again right after active, walking around nothing major, it goes up to like 156/92 pulse may go up to 76. ... BP is typically 10 points lower at home than at the doctor's, on average, I have read in a number of places. Doctors more or less believe that home readings under-estimate BP, and they may have a point...one medical study I saw reported that home machines underestimate BP by 8 mm systolic and 5 mm diastolic on average. I will now only take 2 readings and will average it out; i just took a quick one and it was 138/88, and 3 minutes later 128/88 ( and this was after dinner + heavy exercise prior to dinner ). I will take BP more consistently (following specific time of the day from now on) 2months... (6 replies)
