It's almost true though. Hyzaar was the culprit. 3 weeks ago I ended up in the ER with a potassium level of 2.8 (anything less than 3.5 is considered low) and an irregular heart beat. As an embarassingly thin teenager, my blood pressure averaged 100/110 over like 60.
Now that I'm 32 (and if you read my other post about working for a defense contractor), it has shot up to 150/80. I am also 6 inches taller and almost 90 lbs heaver (currently 6'2", 205), and I study kung fu and tai chi.

... Thanks very much AnnD, your reply absolutely blew up my mind; and you got very strong points. I will now only take 2 readings and will average it out; i just took a quick one and it was 138/88, and 3 minutes later 128/88 ( and this was after dinner + heavy exercise prior to dinner ). I will take BP more consistently (following specific time of the day from now on)
