... Hi everyone! I have not posted here in a long time but I have received great advice in the past! I have been taking losartan for 2 years now at only 25 mg. my blood pressure was averaging 135/85. Then about 6 months ago it started climbing and some days it was 150/95 or even 100. My doctor increased the
Losartan to 50 and the bottom number still mostly remained in the 90's... (0 replies)

... Hello kari,
135/90 is not bad but 130/85 is a lot better and 120/80 is perfect. Have you tried supplements to reduce your blood pressure? I have found that Magneium, Flaxseed and Vitamin C are helping me a lot. Also salt plays a big part of the high blood pressure game for many people. For me, I consume less than 500 mg of sodium daily and I'm happy that way. If I can keep... (3 replies)
... I am just wondering if blood pressure of 135/90 can cause damage to the body? No matter what I do like exercising and watching my diet that is where my numbers are all of the time. I did take inderal LA for many many years but realized it was what was causing me to have intestinal problems. I stopped taking it a few months ago because of that. (3 replies)

... Good question. I've thought about this over the years and figure whatever your average BP is during an entire day (resting and moving) is what you should be concerned about. If you have a resting BP of 135/90 (moderately elevated). But, it jumps to 150/95 with any little exertion including standing up and going into another room, that's a problem imo. I have this same... ... Hello everyone, I hope it will be a good day for you!
I have a question; hope someone here may explain to me what is going on.
All my life I lived with very low BP, many times it was so low I was admitted to the hospital to find out what is going on.
All of a sudden, really all of a sudden I didn't feel good. Nausea, dizziness, weakness, just feeling ill for a good 10... (1 replies)
... Check with your DR. I've never taken that drug, but if it were me, I'd take daily readings asap and if it's staying that high I'd stop that drug (ask DR how).
If it were me, I'd go back to no drugs for 2 weeks to get it all out. Then continue daily readings and find my "without drugs" averages, which you allready know as 135/95 range.
Start daily readings to get an... (7 replies)

Yes, "organic cider vinegar that is unpasteurised" is a must for our purposes here, as processing takes nutrients right out of it. My bottle says "organic, raw~unfiltered apple cider vinegar with the 'mother'".

Yesterday it was errartic and woke up with a pulse of 90 and my bp high was 135/90. I thought maybe I could take fish oil instead. (5 replies)

I used to take my blood pressure about twice a day, once first thing in the morning, then again just before going to bed late at night. Looking back, I can't really say that my blood pressure was well controlled, just stable and remaining close to desired levels for periods of time, sometimes months. (Thanks for pointing that out, Machaon! :D) Then,... (45 replies)
... Depending on age the borderline hypertensive number I have always seen is 140/90. So your diastolic number is something you may want to keep an eye on.
If it concerns you don't hesitate to have it checked out. Mine was 90 when I was in grade school- I'm 35 now, and an hour ago it was 212/135.
Don't scare yourself with your current number, but do be mindful to keep it... (11 replies)

... Two doctors have told me there is no need for medication for this. I have the same problem. At the doctor's office it's usually at 140-145/80-90 with a heart rate above 95. At home my BP is under 130/70 and usually in the 123-126 range. I have had every blood test imaginable, chest xray and heart evaluation and all is OK. I'm 27 years old and an active individual.
