My numbers run the gauntlet between 220/160 and 140/80 on a daily basis... but I have a condition that causes this and the Dr's know about it.
It sounds like you might be experiencing a hypertensive crisis, this is a medical emergancy and needs to be taken care of immediatly. High Blood pressure is not called the "Silent Killer" for nothing!

It is that bottom number though, Rarely will it come down below 90. Today after sitting for 5 minutes and took three readings. First was 140/96, Then 139/89, then 133/92.
