I'm a 26-year-old male, recently diagnosed with hypertension. Though, I'm not sure if my BP is high due to my overall nervousness or not. Anyway, in late February I wore a BP monitor for 24h, most of the readings were something like 150-160/75-85 mmHg. And sure enough, I was extremely anxious every time the monitor started doing its job every 20 minutes or so.... (1 replies)

... thank you atengrn and JJ. I'm googling quite a bit and see she might have isolated systolic hypertension. But her BP is considerably worse than what the text book definition of ISH is. Tonight was a "good night" and it was 140/55.
I'll keep googling, I need some concrete articles/studies/etc. to show her before she'll even consider seeing a different doctor or a... (4 replies)

... I have been expiriencing very low Systolic & Diastolic readings 100-110/55-60 with a haerth rate of 40 feeling kind of wobly and like in limbo.
This has been with me for about 3weeks, I had quadrupple bypass in 1995, no tests since.
Please give somw advice as to action to be taken, colesterol level is around 155.

... Whenever I get my BP checked at a doctor's office, it's recorded as 120/80. (It never varies, which makes me wonder if the person taking it is on automatic pilot some of the time.) But whenever my BP is taken by a machine, the results are quite different. Doesn't matter if I go to Wal-Mart's machine, or K-Mart, or the drug store, or even the automatic cuff at the hospital...
