... I was in extreme amounts of pain prior to my surgery as well however I was not able to get on a pain killer because it can cause you to have even more constipation. For me, it was urgent that I manage to empty my bowels because I was scheduled to have my large intestine removed, along with a resectioning of my small intestine & bowel as well. ... and the plan is to have a laparoptomy and then do any corrections from there which would mean resectioning part of my small bowel. Or it could be a small hole in small bowel and that is why it is not functioning properly. They will decide once they do the laparoptomy. ... (6 replies)
