... I hope you get some answers - and solutions! - andmaz. It seems that these "doctors" don't always have answers or solutions, and half the time they don't know what's going on, to begin with.

Thank you so much for your support. This has been a very long 19 months dealing with on and off butt pain... When my CRS suggested surgery I didn't hesitate. I guess I'm disappointed because she told me this was such a minor surgery with minimal pain, and it really wasn't for me. I did a little google research and seems that it might be a hematoma from local... But... (52 replies)

... Thank you, holdingon, for sharing your experience with the healing process. I hope you're right about the pain. Today I got on my bicycle and rode around - and it didn't seem to hurt me, any - but it's taken me a year (after surgery) to get to the point where I've felt I could ride my bike. --- I think part of my discomfort is due to how I've healed (with a very small tag)... ... Hello, Terry -
So glad you're on the mend, as well. This fissure stuff is a tough road, for sure. It's taken me every bit of this year, since my surgery at the end of January, to feel somewhat better. Even at that, I sometimes feel a twinge of discomfort - NOT any throbbing fissure pain - just a lingering "pulling" that is very superficial. I might opt for a second... (52 replies)

I tell ya, these CRS guys are all different! My first two weren't any good at all, with regard to my fissure. The third CRS did the surgery - but I needed a fourth CRS to treat me while #3 was overseas - and as a result, I discovered that #4 was probably better (certainly more... (40 replies)

I'm much, MUCH better off than I was, even with my little surface area that sometimes acts up. At least my fissure is gone, along with the horrible pain.
